The HD THeater channel will start airing coverage of the 2010 Isle of Mann TT races on August 23rd @ 9:00 pm. I sure it will be great racing the coverage last year was pretty good. Some great slow motion footage.

Shucks we'll have to watch it on youtube. Don't have that channel or HD. Maybe someone can record it?

There was a NESBA member from York area that raced this year, Brendon Cretu..a real accomplishment to even make the cut to ride in those races. afro

********First part (to watch motogp) online

Quote
did not set up my FIOS dvr in time to catch the first two races, and I wanted to catch up. After looking around the web and getting annoyed I came up with this work around.

This will set you up to watch MOTOGP on BBC's website http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/categories/sport (which is legit). BBC does media the best IMO, but all opinions aside here we go.

Since you do not live in the UK BBCs website will tell you pretty much to eff'off. What you need to do is fake as if you were from the UK, which is pretty straight foward. I opt'ed to utilize my least used browser which for me is IE, this being good because IE is also the easiest browser to set proxy settings.

First go here http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-GB.htm and grab a UK proxy, I just used the first one 92.52.125.20:80. Open IE, go to Internet Options, Connections Tab, then click the LAN Settings button. In the Lan Settings dialog box click "Use a proxy server for your LAN..." then put in your IP and Port.

Load up BBC iPlayer - Sport - All Programmes - Page 1 click MotoGP at the top, you will notice it will not give the warning about not being in the UK anymore. I let it buffer for about two minutes on pause right at the start and had not one buffering issue after that. I am however 25mb/s FIOS though, so desired play back may vary.

****ISLE OF MAN Section

Since they have yet to air the race in the states, and i can not find any info over at HD Theater i got antsy and found a place to watch them. The ITV4 player only hold 29 days (which is fine since it just started).

If you want to watch the episodes now instead of waiting for HD Theater to air them then use my "Watch MotoGP Online" post found here Watching MotoGP online. for instructions or if you already have some cleverness about you, use the following IP&Port for the proxy in IE (or Firefox, chrome uses IE's proxy)

93.174.81.194:3128

(if that isnt speedy enough use the proxy list in the Watch MotoGP Online post for a list)

Watch it here.

Those details are a month or so old so the proxy IPs will have most likely changed. I do not have my laptop at work to give updated IPs so get hit the proxy list site to get one. It may take a few IPs before you get one that provides you with the best possible speed.

Remeber if IE or Chrome is your default browser remove the proxy settings when you are done.  If you use firefox as your default browser you can leave the IE or Chrome settings alone and use those browser spefically for watching the races, which is my personal prefrence.

If you need help just ask, i am here all day -=]
